Shawna Verrett

Shawna Verrett is a Mortgage Loan Originator. She was born and raised in the Lone Star State, in San Antonio. Growing up as an only child, she learned the value of hard work, respect, loyalty, determination and dedication. Having a structural engineer as her father, Shawna acquired a passion for using her hands to do anything from helping remodel houses to building furniture for her house. The importance to pay attention to detail is a must in her eyes and has carried through to her mortgage career.

Before breaking into the mortgage industry, Shawna obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and ran an animal rescue organization for 10 years, where she still actively volunteers. Giving back to the community, Shawna has been an active member with the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Medical Committee since 2007, and she is now one of five directors. Each step of the way, Shawna has had a love of numbers – this combined with the love to problem solve, meet deadlines, serve people, make their dreams come true and the desire to learn and be the best in her career made it easy for her to follow her heart when the opportunity presented itself to begin a career in the mortgage industry.

Outside of work, Shawna is a mother to four beautiful children, two girls and two boys; a dog, Max; a three-legged kitty found lying in a field named Cashmere; 2 barn cats, Bruce and Bella; 3 horses, Topper, Montana and Dolly; Chickens; a Turtle; and whatever other animal the kids decide they may need to keep from the outdoors for a few days. In her free time, Shawna likes to do anything outside – riding horses, doing yard work, going on hikes on the trails, visiting Sea World or basically being anywhere near water during the summer.

Shawna is active with her church community and is committed to pouring into the lives of others with grace, commitment, respect and loyalty. In her eye, everything must be done through faith, kindness and love.
