A western Washington native, I have been a mortgage loan officer in the Seattle metro area for over twenty years. Though this experience has given me a wealth of knowledge in home loans, my ability to listen to my borrowers and understand their priorities is what really gives me the insight to find the best mortgage loan program to meet their needs.
I specialize in loans for first time home buyers, government mortgage programs, and zero down loan programs. My wife and I were initially informed of a closing date of the 10th with the main delay being scheduling an appraisal and getting it back in time. It was never explained that the apraiser had 15 buisness days to get it completed which would have placed closing 5 days after the initial date. While this would have been an acceptable time frame if it was explained we based our plans on moving out on the date of the tenth including giving notice to our land lord and paying fees. as the date grew near to the 10th we did not receive much correspondence regarding updates and calls left unanswered and emails not responded to. I will acknowledge with the time of year may Have been a factor as holidays were present, the larger issues was the lack of communication and the stress of having to reschedule moving times which could have been avoided if communication was done. Other than that the process was smooth and fast.
