As a first-time homebuyer, the entire mortgage process felt unfamiliar and overwhelming. I was stressing about rates, timelines, and all the steps in between. A close friend highly recommended Tom and his team at Guild Mortgage and I’m so grateful they did. From the moment I applied, Tom personally called me within minutes to walk through the process and answer all my questions. He even matched the rate we found while shopping around, which gave us so much peace of mind. His support didn’t stop there. At one point, I emailed Tom on a Sunday evening around 7PM about a time-sensitive issue, and instead of replying via email, he called me directly to talk it through. That level of responsiveness and care is rare. Emilee was also absolutely phenomenal throughout the entire process. She was the one regularly emailing me, hopping on phone calls, and making sure everything stayed on track. She explained everything clearly and never made me feel like I was asking too many questions, which, as a first-time buyer, meant a lot. What really stood out was how communicative and human the entire team was. Rather than just replying to emails, they’d pick up the phone to walk me through things in real time. That personal touch made such a difference. Plus, we received nightly email updates from Guild with a summary of what happened with our mortgage that day. It was a fun and informative way to stay in the loop. I’ve heard horror stories about working with lenders, but my experience with Tom, Emilee, and the entire Guild team was the complete opposite. I can’t say enough good things! They made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth, personalized, and truly supportive from start to finish.
