Chris MacPherson

Chris MacPherson is a Senior Loan Officer with Guild Mortgage serving homebuyers and homeowners throughout Utah, with a primary focus on Utah and Salt Lake Counties. With mortgage experience dating back to 1998, Chris brings decades of knowledge and a teacher's approach to helping clients understand their options and make confident financial decisions. His experience includes originating mortgages for two of Utah's largest credit unions and the largest residential mortgage lender in the world.

Chris specializes in first-time homebuyers, Conventional, FHA, VA and Jumbo financing, as well as self-employed borrowers, bank statement loans, investment properties and house hacking. Known for strong communication and creative problem-solving, Chris is passionate about helping clients use real estate and homeownership as tools for building long-term wealth.

His achievements include Mortgage Executive Top 1% Mortgage Originator 2025, Scotsman Guide Top Originator 2026, and Guild Mortgage Circle of Honor 2025.

Outside of mortgage lending, Chris is the founder of the 501(c)(3) nonprofit Inspiring Hope, supporting families with children who have special needs and families experiencing temporary homelessness. He also enjoys coaching his boys, hiking the Tetons, camping in Yellowstone, whitewater rafting and attending local high school games.
