I also have extensive experience working with homebuilders, real estate professionals, and new construction homebuyers. Over the years, Ive developed strong builder relationships and a deep understanding of the considerations that can come with financing a newly constructed home.
Buying a new construction property can be different from purchasing an existing home, which makes communication between the buyer, lender, builder, and real estate professional especially important. I work to keep everyone informed and help clients understand what to expect throughout their financing journey.
Education Is at the Heart of What I Do
I've spent decades educating my community by teaching homebuying workshops, mortgage classes, and other educational programs. I believe one of the most valuable things a mortgage professional can provide is knowledge.
As a Certified Liability Advisor, I bring an additional perspective to conversations about mortgage financing and a client's broader financial picture. My goal isn't simply to help someone obtain a mortgage. I want my clients to understand the decisions they're making, the options available to them, and how those decisions may fit into their bigger financial goals.
My approach to mortgage lending is also shaped by my educational background. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Radford University in 1993, studying Communication, Public Relations, and Journalism with a minor in Finance. That combination of communication and financial education has served as a foundation throughout my career. Complex mortgage information should not feel overwhelming, and I work hard to communicate it in a way that is clear, approachable, and relevant to each client.
