About me
I love what I do! Meeting new people and assisting them with their home financing needs are what make my job as a mortgage loan officer so rewarding. For over twenty years, I have helped thousands of clients secure the right mortgage at a great interest rate, making the dream of home ownership both affordable and enjoyable for them. Whether it's here in the Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, or Beaufort area, or in any of the states where I am licensed, I work relentlessly on behalf of my clients to ensure a smooth transaction from start to finish. Precision with details and frequent communication with all parties involved in the transaction are the characteristics that define my work as a loan officer. I am licensed to originate residential home loans in South Carolina, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Tennessee, and Iowa.
My wife Claudia and I met at Wheaton College and were married in 1990. We have 3 wonderful children - twin daughters and a son. In our free time we enjoy relaxing at the beach, traveling overseas, and hosting people in our home for a meal.

Bridge
If you’ve found the perfect new home but still need to sell your current one*, moving up can be easier than you think. You can buy quickly and avoid worrying about a contingent sale. Our short-term bridge loan for the down payment helps you transition seamlessly without missing out on the right home for your family.
Conventional
A Conventional loan is a great option if you have an average to high credit score and little debt. This allows you to take advantage of lower interest rates. With these types of loans, you have the option to put 20% down, which eliminates the need for private mortgage insurance (PMI) and saves you money. If you don’t have a large down payment saved up though, don’t worry. We have Conventional loan options for down payments as low as 3%.
VA
If you’re an active member of the military or a veteran, a VA loan can help you save money with no down payment and lower closing costs. VA loans also have lower interest rates, meaning you’ll save money over the life of your loan. A VA loan is a program created and guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) specifically for eligible military veterans, service members and their spouses.
