Specializing in residential mortgage lending for the following mortgage programs: FHA, VA, Conventional, USDA, renovation loans, and Jumbo home loans. Loan programs vary from low down payment mortgages for first time homebuyers to second homes, and investment properties.

My primary areas of lending are Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, North Charleston, James Island, Johns Island, West Ashley, Daniel Island, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms, Hanahan, Ladson, Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, and Summerville.

A long time friend and Realtor Brigette Edmunds referred me and my fiance to Matt. She expressed how important it is to get preapproved first so we made an appointment. As first time home buyers we were nervous but Matt put us at ease and preapproved us quickly. We were so excited and immediately started looking for our new home. We worked with Brigette and Shawn from Brand Name and found our forever home quickly. We made an offer and immediately Matt and his team went to work for us. As a Property Manager for years, I had a lot of questions but Matt responded to my emails and phone calls quickly. He's knowledgeable, kind and a problem solver. He's also a numbers guy so he had our breakdown with interest rates, taxes and insurance etc at the ready when I asked. This process can be a bit nerve wracking at times mostly because of fear of the unknown but we both knew through the underwriting process that we were in good hands. Christy our underwriter was awesome with her communication too. She sent us a the Fannie Mae online homebuyer class and we aced the test with a 100 percent. Whoohoo! From the underwriting, property inspection, appraisal, insurance and title work, Matt had us. He worked with Shawn Bergen and her team at Brand Name flawlessly and kept us in the loop the entire time until closing day.
