Evan Swanson

Evan Swanson is a Portland-based Loan Officer with Guild Mortgage, serving homebuyers across the

Portland Metro area since 2002. With more than two decades of mortgage experience, over $1 billion in

career loan volume, and a CFP designation earned in 2010, Evan brings a rare financial-planning lens to the

home loan process.

His approach is education-first and strategy-driven. Whether working with first-time buyers, investors, repeat

clients, or referral partners, Evan helps people understand their options, weigh the tradeoffs, and make

mortgage decisions with both eyes open. He is especially passionate about helping clients see how their

mortgage fits into the bigger financial picture; not just what they qualify for today.

Evan's superpower is a mix of experience, clarity, and proactive problem-solving. After thousands of loans, he

knows how to spot potential issues early, structure creative solutions, and guide clients through the process

with transparency and calm. He is also quick to credit the team around him, whose care and commitment

help create a high-touch client experience from start to finish.

Outside of lending, Evan is a Portland guy through and through. He loves golf, vinyl records, Oregon outdoor

adventures, the coast, craft coffee and beer, and time with his wife Tina and their two kids, Bennett and

Addie. He is also involved with local Realtor associations and periodically supports community volunteer

efforts throughout the area.
