About me

We are a mother-daughter loan officer team at Guild Mortgage. Vikki has been a loan officer for more than 20 years. Vikki’s two daughters grew up watching her help families purchase homes and they knew that’s exactly what they wanted to do, too. Ginger now serves as a loan officer alongside her mom in the Reno-Sparks community. Her sister, Jacky, is a Guild loan officer in Southern California. Ginger’s husband also works as a loan officer and trainer at Guild Mortgage. It’s safe to say their professional passions are a family affair!

Together, Vikki and Ginger have been helping families purchase homes for many years. They have the experience to make sure their clients are informed throughout the entire lending process. Their number one priority is making sure their clients experience the customer service they deserve.

In order to understand why Vikki is extraordinary you have to know a lot about the process of purchasing residential real estate. As a real estate agent, I do; and I’ve worked with dozens of loan officers and mortgage brokers in the course of my career. Most consumers think a mortgage is all about getting a good rate. It’s not. In fact, rates are highly regulated, tethered to a buyer’s credit and other personal financial metrics, and don’t vary that much among lenders. Sure, you may save a quarter point or so by shopping around, and, sure, that can save you thousands if you keep the mortgage for 15 or 30 years. But none of that matters if you fail to qualify or otherwise have to cancel the contract for the house you want because of poor or negligent management of the process by the loan officer and her team. And this happens ALL THE TIME. My experience is that most loan officers or brokers are ecstatic about selling you a mortgage but have very little interest in, and are lazy about or have no control over, the approval process. This jeopardizes the contract and can, if the buyer fails to meet its loan contingency or fails to fund on its chosen close of escrow date, give the seller the right to cancel the contract. As the agent representing the buyer, I NEVER want to give the seller the ability to cancel your contract. That’s a right I want to reserve for you—the buyer. In the dozens of deals I’ve done with Vikki over the years she has NEVER jeopardized our clients’ contracts by missing a deadline. That’s because she manages her team of processors, underwriters, and appraisers effectively and better than any other loan officer I’ve ever encountered. She knows all of them and can intervene when necessary to smooth the way. This is essential for keeping the process on track and ensuring its success. In addition to this, she is responsive, available almost 24/7, and is able to explain everything to novices clearly. Once she takes you as a client, she is committed—as committed as the buyer and I are—to getting you the house you want, and does everything it takes to fulfill her responsibilities to make that happen. She never offers excuses or blames anyone else—I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve heard loan brokers do this—for a failure to perform. “My processor is sick.” “I can’t get an appraiser.” “My underwriter isn’t responding.” This won’t happen with Vikki. And that’s rare. She’s the best loan officer I’ve ever worked with, and one of the most responsible people I’ve ever encountered in my professional life. I am so grateful to have her on my team and have no doubt that you will be, too.
