Erica Banks

I am a Loan Officer with nearly 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, including 25 years as an underwriter. That background gives me a unique advantage. I understand credit and loan structure at a much deeper level than most loan officers, which allows me to identify potential issues early, solve them quickly, and help ensure a smooth, efficient path to closing. After many years in underwriting, I was ready for a change but wanted to stay in the business I love. Becoming a loan officer was something I never imagined I would do, but it’s been incredibly rewarding. I truly enjoy working directly with clients, helping them find the right loan program, and guiding them through one of the most important financial decisions they’ll ever make. I’m also a proud military spouse. My husband is a retired Master Gunnery Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served for 29 years. During that time, we lived all over the United States, primarily on both coasts, before eventually returning home to the Kansas City area after his retirement. Family is everything to me. My husband and I have one daughter who is finishing her master’s degree and plans to attend law school. We also have three very spoiled (and very loved) dogs who keep our home lively and full of joy. I take great pride in using my experience, knowledge, and commitment to service to help my clients feel confident, informed, and well taken care of throughout the entire loan process.
