I'm a McHenry County, Illinois-based mortgage loan officer licensed to help homebuyers and homeowners throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Texas. While I work with clients at every stage of homeownership, one of my biggest areas of focus is divorce mortgage lending.

Divorce changes more than your relationship status. It can completely change what is possible when it comes to your home and your mortgage. I help clients understand the mortgage side of divorce before, during and after the process, so they can make informed decisions about what comes next. Whether that means determining if you can keep the marital home, refinancing, removing a spouse from the mortgage when possible, preparing to purchase a new home after divorce, or simply understanding what you can realistically qualify for, my goal is to help create a mortgage strategy before important financial decisions are made.

I also love working alongside divorce attorneys, mediators, financial professionals and real estate agents to help identify potential mortgage issues early and give clients a clearer picture of their financing options.

Another huge passion of mine is VA financing. I love working with veterans, active-duty military members and their families to help them understand and take advantage of the VA home loan benefits they have earned. VA lending isn't just another loan program to me. Serving those who have served our country is something I genuinely care about.

Giving back to the people who serve our communities is also the reason behind my Everyday Heroes program. I love helping our veterans, military members, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, teachers, nurses, healthcare professionals and other everyday heroes find ways to make homeownership more affordable. For eligible borrowers, that can include strategies such as a temporary interest-rate buydown designed to help reduce mortgage payments during the first year of homeownership.

At the end of the day, I don't believe my job is simply to get someone a mortgage. My job is to educate you, advocate for you and help you create a mortgage strategy that makes sense for your life.
