Shawnda Padilla

Shawnda Padilla is a dedicated local community advocate actively involved in expanding access to affordable housing through her work with Posada, a respected local nonprofit. She works to support individuals and families seeking safe, stable housing and is known for her patient, understanding approach - especially when guiding first-time homebuyers through the often-overwhelming process of finding their first home.

As the wife of a veteran, she brings a personal and compassionate perspective to the unique challenges military families face. This fuels her commitment to serving those who served, and she proudly supports local veterans through her involvement with Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, a community nonprofit dedicated to veteran outreach and assistance.

Deeply rooted in the community, she combines advocacy with heart, helping families thrive and empowering veterans to access vital resources. Outside of her community work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family - especially golfing with her son, a collegiate player for Colorado State University Pueblo. A pastime that brings her joy, connection, and of course frustration as with all that play golf.
