About Me

Jimmy Kinley, Your Mortgage Expert

With two decades of experience in the mortgage industry, Jimmy is a recognized expert in home financing and a dedicated mortgage partner to his clients and real estate agent colleagues. He began his career in the industry as a real estate agent, but he saw an opportunity to improve the level of service provided by mortgage lenders. That commitment to excellence and personalized service still drives him today, and he's been honored as a Forbes Market Leader, as well as an 8-time Five Star Mortgage Professional. He is also an 11-time member of President's Club at Cherry Creek Mortgage, an elite group of high-performing, motivated loan originators.

Jimmy's deep knowledge of loan programs allows him to support clients with a variety of home financing options. As a U.S. Marine, he takes great pride in assisting veterans with VA loans. His in-depth understanding of VA loans far exceeds that of many loan officers, and he enjoys working with veterans to reach their home ownership goals.

Jimmy started his career with Abacus Mortgage, then moved on to roles with PHH Home Loans/Coldwell Banker Home Loans before joining Cherry Creek Mortgage. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He is a member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association and the Highlands Ranch Rotary, and a volunteer for the Warrior Bonfire program, an organization that supports Purple Heart recipients throughout their journey of healing, putting my clients first is my top priority and customer service is still everything!

With over 15 years of experience in the industry as a Senior Originator, I consider myself as much an educator as an originator. I enjoy helping people understand exactly what options are available, and how they can find a loan that meets their particular needs at a competitive mortgage rate.

With deep ties to the community, I enjoy working with realtors to ensure the process is smooth and efficient, all while keeping my client's needs first. I pride myself on my ability to spot problems before they occur and I anticipate and overcome obstacles with creative, proactive solutions.

Experienced Buyers: In the Colorado mortgage industry, guidelines and products are constantly changing. I stay abreast of new developments - from regulatory changes to industry trends - as they occur so that my clients can stay fully informed. With a wide network of professional contacts, I can keep the process on track from start to closing, and spot and solve potential issues before they occur.

Veterans: As a United States Marine, I great pride in my expertise with VA loans. The process of getting a VA loan in Colorado requires specific knowledge, and after originating over 125 of VA loans, I enjoy helping fellow veterans get the mortgage that serves them best.

Conventional

Conventional

A Conventional loan is a great option if you have an average to high credit score and little debt. This allows you to take advantage of lower interest rates. With these types of loans, you have the option to put 20% down, which eliminates the need for private mortgage insurance (PMI) and saves you money. If you don’t have a large down payment saved up though, don’t worry. We have Conventional loan options for down payments as low as 3%.

Down payment assistance

If you’re purchasing your first home, you have options to buy without saving a full down payment. Down payment assistance (DPA) programs can help with your down payment in the form of a loan or grant that is often forgiven over time.
FHA

FHA

If you’re looking to buy on a tight budget, these loans are a great option. It’s easier to qualify for FHA loans because they carry lower credit score requirements and lower down payment options starting at 3.5% down. They’re also insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and only issued by FHA-approved lenders.
