Jonathan Edwards

Jonathan Edwards is a Colorado mortgage professional, real estate educator, and business development specialist with The Hosterman Team at Guild Mortgage. Based in Evergreen, Jonathan works with homebuyers and homeowners while also helping real estate agents, managing brokers, and brokerages access mortgage expertise, continuing education opportunities, marketing resources, and solutions for complex financing scenarios.

Jonathan earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Oswego State University and began his financial services career in 2006. His experience includes banking, business banking, licensed banking, and mortgage banking before joining David Hosterman and beginning what has become a long-standing partnership with The Hosterman Team. Today, Jonathan's role goes well beyond traditional mortgage origination. Education is one of the foundations of his approach to building relationships with the real estate community. He has developed multiple continuing education classes for real estate professionals and can coordinate specialized instructors covering topics such as contracts, appraisals, 1031 exchanges, and other subjects relevant to today's agents and brokerages. His philosophy is simple: bring value to real estate partners before they ever need a loan.

Jonathan works with managing brokers and brokerage leaders to provide CE opportunities, educational workshops, marketing resources, and lending expertise their agents can use. His goal is to become the person agents and brokers think of when they need an educational resource, have a financing question, or encounter a transaction that requires another perspective. Alongside David and The Hosterman Team, Jonathan works with both traditional mortgages and specialty financing scenarios involving real estate investors, self-employed borrowers, ITIN borrowers, Spanish-speaking clients, and others whose circumstances may require options beyond a standard mortgage approach. Based in Evergreen, Jonathan has a particular connection to Colorado's mountain communities, including Evergreen, Conifer, and Summit County, while The Hosterman Team serves clients and real estate partners more broadly throughout Colorado.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and three children and making the most of Colorado through skiing, golfing, hiking, biking, and running. Whether he's helping a borrower evaluate mortgage options, teaching a CE class, supporting a brokerage, or helping an agent think through a difficult deal, Jonathan strives to be a dependable resource from the classroom to the closing table.
