About me

I am a veteran in the financial services industry with over 26 years of mortgage lending experience. I bring my skills, knowledge, and expertise to Guild Mortgage at the Grand Junction location.

I take pride in working closely with my clients, whether I'm helping them secure the right mortgage to realize their dreams, or educating them on how to make credit decisions that have a positive impact on their financial future.

My outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving skills, along with my track record for closing transactions, allow me to excel as a home loan professional and build a solid reputation with my clients, resulting in satisfied customers, repeat business, and referrals.

My wife, Heidi, and I were fortunate enough to move to Grand Junction several years ago to be closer to family. After visiting siblings, parents, and grandparents for three decades, we moved to Grand Junction in 2015 and are enjoying all the wonderful outdoor opportunities the Western Slope has to offer, including mountain biking, hiking, camping, and Jeeping.

I am on the Board of Directors for HopeWest and the HopeWest Grand Valley Advisory Board, and the current President of the Horizon Sunrise Rotary. I was a past Board of Directors for Center for Children. I am also a member of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association and am a Certified Mortgage Lender (CML). I have been the guest speaker at several Colorado Organizations including the Grand Junction Area Realtor Association, the Colorado Housing Finance Authority, the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce, the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association, the Colorado Association of Mortgage Professionals, the Colorado Association of Realtors, the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women, and multiple Realtor Groups.

In my own words, "I have attempted to differentiate myself by offering excellent customer service, prompt follow-up, and a commitment to partner with my customers in their business."

Maximize Your Buying Power with Strong Credit

I am a 26-year mortgage lending veteran with a background in the credit industry, so I know better than anyone how a good credit score can substantially maximize your borrowing power, helping you get more house for your money. As mortgage rates creep up, the cost of buying a home becomes more expensive. Of course, you can’t control how the market performs. But you do have some control over whether you receive a favorable rate or a costly rate. The best mortgage rate starts with good credit — an essential aspect of financial power. If you don’t understand how credit works, or if you are wondering how to improve your personal score, I can provide credit building strategies that not only open the door to homeownership, but also help you qualify for the best mortgage rate. Give me a call to learn how to maximize your buying power and get the biggest bang for your money.

VA

If you're an active member of the military or a veteran, a VA loan can help you save money with no down payment and lower closing costs. VA loans also have lower interest rates, meaning you'll save money over the life of your loan. A VA loan is a program created and guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) specifically for eligible military veterans, service members and their spouses.

Down payment assistance

If you're purchasing your first home, you have options to buy without saving a full down payment. Down payment assistance (DPA) programs can help with your down payment in the form of a loan or grant that is often forgiven over time.

Reverse Mortgage loan

If you're retired or at least 62 years old and looking to purchase or refinance to make the most of your home investment, this may be a good option for you. A reverse mortgage allows you to use the equity in your home to supplement your retirement income.

All loans are subject to underwriter approval; terms and conditions may apply. Subject to change without notice.
